I got the Amp back, and the gentleman who replaced the Transformer said it was an awesome amp...he dates it between late 60's, early 70's... it came with the 1971 Fender Telecaster I bought from my brother. He owned them for over 30 years. It's a silver faced amp, with AA 764 on the tube chart on the inside of the amp. On the tube block, I found another number, A 24354 stamped on the side. It has the old RCA hook-ups for the pedals, and internally, its in great shape. The tech told me that the tubes in it are all period correct, and some of them are actually very rare....in his words, there a couple of tubes in that thing a guy would give up a nut for......this thing hadn't been played in 30 years, and just set in a his barn....(air conditioned barn)...(: The speaker is not a Jensen, but I was told it was original....Oxford I guess. Any tips on ID'ing the date? It came with the guitar over 30 years ago....

Fender stopped putting Date Codes on the Tube Chart in 1970, so that number is meaningless so far as dating the amp is concerned.

The other number A24354 you found is a serial number and falls into the serial numbers for a 1970 Silverface Princeton Reverb - A24000 to A25000 = 1970.

Nice Find !

cheers!
