In looking for an inexpensive Tele for home use. I ran into the Modern Player Tele Plus. I noticed the pine body as one lightweight and cheap body material. But for in home noodling she appears to fill my bill. Question: are modern player pickups noiseless pups ? I hope not. Is the middle pup RWRP ? Think I'll check into Nashville T'Casters.

The original teles were made of pine. I picked this one up $350 from guitar center and love it. I just changed all the pick ups out and it sounds as good as any American made I played.

Here is a great mod

I put joe bardens in the neck SD ss6 in mid and SD jeff beck sh4 in bridge. It will play just about anything.

Do you still get any 'twang' with the SH4 bridge pup?

A little when I have it in single coil and activate the neck and bridge. The bardens give it the twang in the neck position.
