It should sound and play awesome. I haven't been able to justify buying an acoustic in that class, but the Martin D41 and Takamine P7D are those I sometimes drool over.
Perhaps once I retire... :D

As a guy who totally understands the phrase "Drop the Shovel" (as in digging a big hole with the wife) seems to me holding your Tele and your wife sitting across from you is just a bit backward...even on this forum :!: :!:   And congrats on the Martin!

LOL thanks for the kind thoughts.
i do have a report though..... new D41 is super sweet, sounds like angles singing, but a funny thing happened while i was at the music store........a new fender strat followed me home too. i have been looking at it for some time and decided to go ahead and trade one of my tele's for it.
the wife still loves me i think and is still sitting across the room watching me sEt up the strat.

LIFE IS REALLY GOOD!

I just broke the news to SWMBO that I had ordered a new louder amp, while we were midway through dining at a fine restaurant.
"It's not orange, is it!?"
"No, it's mostly beige..." (mumblemumble-whenlookedatfromthefront)
"Ah, okay then"

Yes, life is good.

Congrats on the Strat! And the Martin sounds the worst it will ever sound right now, so hope you three have many happy years together!

And sounds like the wife is a keeper!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

... and my new amp arrived, and I'm a happy man too.
I would never have thought that Orange amps could give such nice bluesy tones with a Tele, but they do.
It even sounds awesome with the old Godin acoustic (using a SD woody pickup).

Yes, life is good.
