The red Tele on the left in this image.

Does anyone have any clue which Telecaster that is? I'd love to know more about it. It's the red one on the left in the image I linked to above.

its not a toranado.- those are more like a jazzmaster and a big apple strat had a baby.

its a tele jr. customshop. very similar to a lespaul jr but as a telecaster.

there are plenty of tele jr style guitars out there. this is one of the best examples.

hmm i looked up pictures of both and i think it may just be the angle. The position of the knobs and the pickguard and the top switch are consistent with a tornado. The bridge is slightly different though. The only thing that would lead me to believe it's a telecaster junior, would be the shape of the top horn and i'm thinking that could be a tric of how the picture was shot. you can't see the right horn in it and that angle makes the upper horn look less severe. I'm saying it's a tornado despite the other analysis. If someone could find a picture of the Tele Jr. to refute the points i've made please post it. Until then, that looks like a tornado (see link for comparison: http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAMM02/Content/Fender/PR/tornado_large.jpg)

Probably a telecaster with a custom pickguard.

I would say a Custom Telecaster FMT HH with a custom pickguard.

I don't claim to be an expert on teles or toranados, but I have to say I am as yet unsuccessful at finding a tele with that kind of bridge or pickguard, so I say (for now) that it's a toranado.

i am not sure at this point--- i had never seen this color toranado... jsut saw a pic of one HOWEVER on some other fender webcite i did see what appears to be the SAME guitar and a pic of the same angle and it was labeled a customshop tele JR... i say someone copies and paistes the picture and asks someone at fender..

it could be either... the bottom horn REALLY looks like the tele angles....

tis a mystery...either way I WANT IT!

and looking at the bridge, i am thinking the toranado statement was correct... usually the tele jrs have the tele 72deleux style saddles,... i will admit that maybe i am wrong on this one.

I'm not sure it's a Toronado, though, still... the body looks much too Telecaster and the bridge is different.

Does anybody know how I might contact from Fender who would know definitively what that guitar is?

Edit: This Avatar has the guitar in it... but it has a lower cutaway like a strat? whaaa?

Hi

I have just posted a question about one of these - I purchased one yesterday in the UK which a dealer had sitting about for a couple of years.
It was genuine new old stock!

It is a Tele-Sonic HH with two humbuckers which are coil-tapped via an S1 switch. The serial number indicates a 2005 model (American Deluxe) according to the Fender site.

Its very cool but I wish I knew more about it....

I don't know how to post a picture but I would of I could!

Steve
