Traded my '94 MIJ Telecaster at the Arlington Guitar Show last October. Been missing it ever since. So, I patiently looked and searched and finally scored this used 2012 Fender American Deluxe. Exceeds my expectations!

nsureit...Nice Tele you scored there. These sure do play nicely. Love the feel on the necks on these.

Enjoy.

Thank you! I have really enjoyed it, so far. I have arthritic hands, and the neck feels great to me. It's also a fairly light instrument. Can't say enough good things about it.

Great choice - I have the same model!

I love how the neck feels and I think it sounds great.

Not sure whether some true single coils might have to go in at some point though!

I'm thinking the original vintage or the nocaster sets.

I do think the N3s sound good though, more modern sounding, but still good!

I love it and great pictures!!

Enjoy the guitar.

Tom

She's a beauty!
I love my AD Tele and would never part with her.
Other Teles have come and gone from my stable but the AD is a definite keeper.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Nikola, yes, it's an American Tele.

Thanks, guys, for the props and encouragement. This is the Telecaster I've always wanted, and I've played it every night this week!

I always thought the American Deluxe series deserve a thinline Telecaster.

Now it's a reality :D

Well, I've had it for more than a month now, and love it even more!

Not quite ready to mod it yet, but what type of pickups do you experts recommend and why? I am using it to play 60s and 70s rock 'n roll through a Marshall TSL-122 and a Mesa Boogie TA-15 head through a Marshall 2x12 cab. I don't play country at all. My preferred sounds are a nice, just breaking up clean to medium crunch rhythm guitar like Ray Davies "You Really Got Me".

Thanks!

Why would you mod it in the first place?

Mod-ing a guitar is not the must, its an option if you are not satisfied with its factory features.

:D
