I have been running Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinkys on all my 6 string electrics. They cost a bit more, but since I joined the GC string club it works out to be about the same price.

They stay in tune really well no matter how hard I bend them and my skin oil doesn't seem to dull them as quickly as regular Ernie Balls.

YMMV,
-Harry

elixir .09 .42s stay in tune and last longer than anything I've used so far.
but everyone likes a different sound and feel so you need to try several and find your fit.

The Elixir Nanoweb Coated Strings sound great. I play Classic Rocks and Blues so I get the Medium Gauge; they have a full/thick sound, but can be bent easily, and sound great in alternate tunings. :D

I've been using Fender 350s on my Tele the past couple years. They impart a unique timbre that I have come to appreciate. I normally run pure nickel wound strings on almost all of my electric guitars and shun nickel plated steel like the devil but stainless strings on a Tele are juuuuuust a touch spankier than nickel, IMNSHO, with a little something, I'm not quite sure how to describe.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Fender Super Bullets are nice for Telecasters, especially for Rock/Metal/Blues. They cost $8.99 (Fender Direct), and are well worth your money. :D
