Roy is also a fan of "other" Tele-style guitars such as the Bluesmaster.

But he's not alone, Eric Clapton and George Harrison were frequently seen cradling a Bluesmaster over the years.

I'm sure that he had used several guitars besides Teles.

Nice binding on those Bluesmasters!

I saw him with that Strat, a Tele and playing thru 2 Twins.

Wonderful sounds!

Yeah I did monitors in a club in Upstate NY for a bunch of years in the 80's and Roy's tele was making all kinds of noise :( so he borrowed a pink paisley one from the warm up band (Bill Perry Blues Project) and man did he make that thing cry. I have the cassette tape of that show (the only copy in existence ) as I always recorded all of the shows I did and it still makes me so bluesy when I listen to it, he sure was down. He 86 himself not that long after the show always wonder if that was the show that put him over the edge. Man he was so down, so low, you could here it in his singing and his playing. I still get sad to this day when I think of him that day. But on the lighter side he was one of the GREAT ONES

mud, you should get that onto a CD just in case the tape gets 'print through' which is common on older cassettes. I'd love to get a copy of it too, if at all possible, PM me.
