Did Fender put out a 60th Anniversary Baja Telecaster?
If so, is there any difference between a regular Baja tele
and the anniversary model?
Thanks...

Anyway...I bought one from GC three weeks ago.
I was impressed with the quality and workmanship on this guitar.
Going by the serial # it was built in 2006. It has the 60th anniversary jewel badge on the back of the headstock. Weight is very light compared to the others I've looked at.
Kudos to Fender Ensenada, Mexico.

Thank you Jeff Krause @ Fender.
You answered my e-mail regarding my first post on this site.
This is a great guitar. It covers a lot of areas. At least for me it does.
Sounds sweet through a Music Man 212-HD amp.

This would be nice to know. I'm looking at purchasing a "60th Anniversary Baja Telecaster" and I'm trying to find info on it -- or if it even exists.

Thanks.

I've owned a 60th. Anniv. Baja Tele for several years. It is a VERY nice, sweet sounding Tele and a NASTY sounding Tele too . The quality is quite good too except a bit rough on the bridge.

Nope, no difference, just the badge.

All of the instruments that were made in 2006 got a 60th anniversary badge.
Other than that, the guitar is the same.
