I watched the video and it was hard to tell exactly what your complaints were. Do you mind writing it down in text? Also, what dealer did you buy the guitar from? I have noticed that some dealers let fewer defective items slip through the cracks than others. I have returned a lot of defective merchandise and I wonder how many times it has been sold "as new". Also, don't underestimate shipping damage. It's a big pain in the butt buying unseen or seen for that matter. We all want things to work perfectly but I don't think that it is a reality.

I have played a Deluxe Telecaster before and I remember it being pretty noisy. The S-1 switch is going to make noise when clicked. The ground could be bad which could be causing the noise when your hands are not touching the guitar. There's a big chance that the next one you receive will do the same thing.

That being said I haven't been too impressed with Fender quality control compared to other big name companies but at the price point it isn't a shocker. I have heard people say they will only buy American Standards because they are the most consistent. All of my MIM and MIJ Fenders have had terrible set-up as well as noisy electronics from factory. My MIC Squier CV50 Tele IMO has better QC than any other imported Fender. I noticed zero difference in quality control when it comes to MIM and MIA amps. I was really let down when I bought 2 defective USA Fender amplifiers. To be fair the second one I received appeared to be damaged in shipping.

At the end of the day Fender guitars and amps are mass produced and you can't expect custom quality. There are other manufactures out there that get as close to perfect as you can get but they also cost a lot more than the run of the mill Fender. I'm just like you I search for the guitar and want it to be perfect but I think we just have to accept that some things are going to have problems here and there.

The OP has a valid complaint but instead of going on YouTube and whining like a two year old (loser in my book), he should contact the dealer he bought the guitar from and take it back under the warranty. If this is the way he acts to something as trivial as a bad ground in a guitar, what is he going to do when he grows up (he looks and acts like he is 12) and he has to deal with real problems in life? Act like an adult and deal with your problems in a mature manner instead of acting like a fool.

Hi wizard 1325. I think the issue here is that you showed us a guitar with a problem, but did not ask a queston. I also think that you should have just returned it, or have it fixed, instead of posting a useless video. And i also think that you should treat your guitar cord a lot better. Good luck.

I agree with Bill. "I hate to do this, but I'm about to..."

The author doesn't hate to do this? He's dying to do this.

If you bought the guitar through MF or some other online company, send it back.
If you bought it through a local music store, have them fix it.

When I ordered my EC Strat through a music store, Fender sent to out the door with the neck on slightly crooked and there was hairline crack in the finish (by the neck joint). As for the paint, this sometimes happens during shipping, and is completely out of Fender's hands.

To say I was bummed is an understatement. Solution: In less than 1 minute and screwdriver, we fixed the neck. As for the hairline crack, I forget it's there.

The guitar is over ten years old, and other than needing a new fret job, is one of my favorite guitars.

Take it back and get it fixed. Good Luck!

People like the OP have no interest in any advice this forum might provide. The only reason he came here was to throw his little hissy fit. I would be willing to bet the he did the same on other Fender forums. I seriously doubt he will return here. No great loss to this forum.

+1...just another wanna be who thinks he is hip because he posted on youtube! Another of our younger generation that doesn't understand it is not all about them and their wanting for 15 minutes of "Fame"...same crap mentality that fuels those stupid reality tv shows.

I recently purchased an AVRI 52. I play at church most of the time and we have a Marshall JCM900 lead series reverb and a Vox AC30. When I play on the Marshall the amp buzzes quite a lot when I do not have my fingers on the fret board. But when I play the Vox I do not have the same problem. Maybe as some of the previous posters have mentioned it could be the static or specific setup of the equipment and where you are standing or sitting. Maybe you should take it to your local music shop and play on their amps or plug it into another amp in another location to see if it does the same thing. Alternatively you can return to whoever you bought it from as it is still under warranty.

I agree with your point of view I guess what bugs me is that I have purchased mass produce items before that never have failed me ex: Nintendo WII, Samsung TV, My car, My Apple IPAD, Apple Mac computer, eetc. I own alot of apple products and none of which are defective. I purchased a AMP made in the USA and an guitar and both were. I understand shipping plays a major role but we know these guitars come in cases which are then put in a fender box which in turn go into the companys box that ships out. Which I think its over kill in padding and shipping for a lose ground wire to just pop off. Sorry but I just dont by into it. Now you make a very, very valid point about companys mailing customers old return stuff and labeling as new. But this was this was not the case it was still in the factory packaging. I purchases from Musicians Friend. As far as the video goes turn your volume up its there. you can hear it.

Ok, your a drama queen sir. I clearly stated in the video I was shipping it back!
Which I did and made contact with the company. Who was going to mail me a replacement. The message that I guess you didn't understand to well was the fact that when you save your hard earn money to recieved something that you just have to mail back, wait another 2 weeks and praying its not another dude is very dishearting. I also made the video so show people what a lose ground was in the guitar! Now I know I title the forum Bad QC which I still believe it was. Clearly something is going on in your life right now to write such a hateful message. You sir have alot of hate in your heart. I forgive you, happens to all all at times when we read what we don't understand.
Christian.

-Guitar cord was a $80 Monster cord 2 weeks old which i just took out of the packaging for the new guitar thats why it was laid out like that

-I didn't ask question because I knew what the fault was clearly stated in the youtube discription video was made to show others what a loose ground was sorry i didn't make that more clear for you guys. That's my fault

-Was returned said at the end of the video "packing up to ship it off"

Thank you, I'll let you know when the next one comes in
