I've been working hard to control my urges, I haven't bought a guitar since last November. But posting pictures of such sweet guitars (and the Tele is and was my first love) is giving me twinges of G.A.S.

I'd best give my therapist a call right away... pretty, so pretty...

When I first saw one of these I thought it was a "FrankenFender" but after reading the reviews, and seeing Harpdog's smiling face, and your impressive wall, I see it's the real deal.

Beautiful guitar! I have one and I really, really like it! I swapped the white pickup cover on the strat pup for a black one to give mine a more traditional/stealthy look. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing! I love the rosewood fret board on yours!

That is a real Beauty for sure !! Congrats !

Mine is a '99 'Nashville' Deluxe which was modified by the PO to standard 2 pup Tele configuration w/ standard wiring through a 3-way switch.

To keep down the mod $$, the PO replaced the PG w/ standard Black PG (the cheapest).

Image

It was otherwise in excellent shape having been stored almost 10 years.

When it was given to me by my friend (the PO's brother), I oiled the Fretboard, replaced the switchplate (that had been drilled for a phase switch (since removed) by the PO - visible between the pots on pic 1), the strings, adjusted the Truss Rod and saddles and added a more proper (for a 'Nashville') Red Tortoise 2-pup PG, which I think looks great on Arctic White. I'm also going to add a Wilkinson 3-saddle compensated bridge next week for a more 'vintage' look and better intonation.

I really love playing this guitar and can never envision parting with it.

Cheers!

Well gents,
I have had my Nashville Tele for about 2 months now and I have to say that the honeymoon is not over by a long shot! This guitar is amazing! I love everything about her. What is fantastic is the fact that I do not have to bring 2 guitars to a gig! When I want a Strat sound I just go to the 2nd position on the selector switch and there you go. The only mod I intend on doing is adding a Fender Super switch so I can get the Tele bridge/neck combo. I don't use just the Strat pup in the number 3 position so it makes sense for me.
Cheers,
ABS :D

Does anyone know if they made the 60th Anniversary Nashville Tele with a maple neck?

Thanks
Tony
