Looks a bit suspicious :|

This Telecaster doesn't have the COA to determine if it's a real CS guitar or a partscaster.

Despite this it's truly an astoundingly beautiful, eye-catching Tele. :P

Thanks, she plays like a dream and I have confirmed the serial number and all that good stuff; but not the custom shop part. I suspect it's just been refinished.

Thanks,

PD

Looks like a modified Custom Classic Tele that someone had dropped a loaded pickguard with a set of Duncans and added a B-Bender.

It's also possible the body has been stripped down to natural.

We need the COA accompanying the guitar to determine if it's a real or fake Custom Shop Telecaster.

In retrospect; my friend I got it from did mention something about having it refinished. I will dig it out of my stack and see if there is any additional paperwork in the case. I hate to say this, but I hardly play; I did a modified version of the Jimmy Page wiring I came up with in my old Dean Cadillac (I call it my Magic Dean) and I can squeeze whatever tone I want out of it.

Primarily I play this puppy these days. She's a 65' SG Special:

Now don't everyone spaz out that it's a Gibson; we have lots of Fender gear and my son is a certified luthier and the first guitar he built was a strat with a tele neck. The neck graduates in style by year in 3rd's: 50's, 60's and 70's. I'll have to upload a pic.

A friend of his had this puppy at the school that his grandfather gave him and it had the original case; he even had the dang original receipt!!!!

1954 (Too bad they just threw the serial number plates in a bin and the builder grabbed what was handy; this one was # 141, but we all know that doesn't mean much); I would have left it at home, lol

I'm pretty much a gear hoarder and have more vintage stuff than new; I try and mix the best of both worlds. Heck, I still use this little monkey (same model Roger Waters did the percussion loop for Money with):
