Hey Guys!

I've got a 1972 Fender Telecaster, standard model, maple fret-board. Like all of them from its day, it has the standard 3 piece bridge. I'm thinking about replacing it with the more modern 6 piece for more accurate intonation. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!

whatever you do, don't do anything you cant undo. no new holes or anything.

you can get 3 saddle bridges on which the barrels are compensated for better intonation. so you get to keep the look of the old style bridge, but with better intonation. or the more modern 6 saddle design.

personally, id go for the compensated 3 saddle bridge. ive never really looked, but im assuming they're all drop in replacement.

I installed a Vintage style topload bridge on my squire affinity tele which has the classic 3 barrel saddle design. That's how the Telecaster should be IMO. It sounds much better with those saddles and resonates more.
