On the Nashville Telecaster, which has 3 pickups and a 5 way switch, are these wired similar to a Stratocaster in that the middle pup is reverse wound?

I have not played one myself but I have heard both pro and con that these guitars sound a lot like Strats in the 2nd and 4th position on the 5 way switch. Anybody have an opinion?

I have the Nashville Power Deluxe tele and it does sound like a strat when the switch is in the 2 or 4 position. Very versatile guitar and even better with the piezo pups which can be blended in with the magnetics or played on their own.

The 2nd Generation Tele Pluses and the early American Deluxes sported that configuration with a special 2-way mini toggle activating the bridge & neck pickups in positions 1 & 5.

This guitar doesn't have the 12dB boost control and rumble-cut switch found on the American Deluxe version.

Nor did I claim that it did, but rather was responding to Twang51's question about the Nashville Telecaster.
cheers,
Alex

Excellent guitar with an awesome neck. You will definitely get Strat quacking out of the Nashville. I added a push pull pot and which got me the tele bridge neck combo and also all three pick ups at one. I really like mine.

Best of both worlds. Strat quack mixed with Tele twang. :D

If you add a Fishman Powerbridge with the proprietary active electronics and rumble-cut filter switch or an LR Baggs system you'll get lots of versatility.
