I'm thinking about changing the bridge pickup to a Seymour Duncan BG 1400 and I know that it's depth is 83" minimum.
will it match ???
Need your advice please.
Thanks

Ok now on this post, you don't have the tele to take some mesurements ?

Yes it is a big job to remove bridge !

The vintage Telecaster have a bridge pickup pocket of 0.850 " deep . See on the book The 7ender Telecaster....By A.R. Duchossoir page 57 . The original blue print made by Freddie Tavares in nov 1980.

hey man,
thanks for your answer...i don't know what book you are talking about but the seymour duncan BG 1400 has a -83" depth to it.
i'm only thinking about replacing the bridge pickup - off course i won't do it myself but the the pros handle it (with care...i hope).
anyway - what can you say about this pickup? i'm a fender guy and looking to round my sound with the SD BG 1400 - since it functions like a humbucker...
thanks

The SD BG1400 is a real "ballsy" pup. Stacked single coils, and a hefty output! I have one in a Top Bound CS Esquire, like this...

I have the SD Vintage Stack in my AVRI 52 Tele. It fits fine.

It is the neck where a stack will have problems.
