Hey guys , maybe I can get some assistance here ? I have a new Squier Affinity Butterscotch Telecaster which I plan on modding. I have on order the following ;
Vintage style topload 3 barrel saddle bridge,
Greasebucket circuit wiring kit ,
Duncan Design bridge TE 101B Tele pickup.

My question is concerning the wiring of the pickup. It is ceramic just like the stock neck on the Affinity and according to Duncan's diagrams on their website, the standard wiring for a tele is as far as the bridge is concerned, white wire to the 3 way switch and the black to the volume pot. Seeing that this pickup has only 2 wires and not 4 like a Duncan Strat pickup, will this be in sync with the stock neck pup on my squire and still give the neck equal volume when I install it, or is there a different way to install it ?

I thought I'd post on here as well to see what my fellow Fender forum members would have to say about this as well. It doesn't hurt to get a opinion from elsewhere y'know.

Well, my new pickup came in yesterday and I'm going to be installing it this morning. Some of the guys on the Telecaster forum suggested that I could just lower the height until the volume is level with that of the stock neck pickup . I'll give that a try and see what happens.

It turned out that the screws on the stock pickup won't fit the Duncan Pickup, which in a way turned out to be a blessing. The reason why I say that is, I got my Greasebucket tone kit in today and just got done installing it. What a major difference in the sound of the guitar and now I don't need the Duncan after all. I'm going to contact the guy I bought it from and see about getting a refund. If not, then I'll just post it on E-bay and sell it myself.
