I Just received my 2013 American Standard 2 tone Telecaster for Amazon.com, the guitar looks and plays great, however, after plugin it to my amp I noticed that it was cutting out. I thought it was the cable at first, so I tried my Strat and it worked fine.

Can this be repaired at a local Authorized Fender dealer, based on new product warranty?

If the jack is screwed, no amount of looping it is going to help at all.

Resolder the joints on the jack and if it still doesn't help, consider replacing it with a good quality stereo jack. The extra lug helps hold the cable in tighter and gives it better contact.

I would certainly take it to the Fender dealer, if you have access to one. It is a new guitar, under warranty, and the problem should be fixed under that warranty!

Bear in mind that an attempt to take it apart and fix it yourself might invalidate your warranty.

You should still have a warranty on a new Fender product...except that Amazon will not have the facilities to do any repairs.
Alternatively, it could be returned to them as faulty, for a replacement or a refund, but that is going to be more hassle than taking it in somewhere for a repair, and if you like the guitar you may want to keep it.

Yes, provided your guitar is traceable to an authorized Fender dealership.

I contacted Amazon, they offered a refund or exchange but currently out of stock on this particular model. I really love the way this guitar feels, it plays better than my 57 American re issue Surf Green Strat I got last year. I will take it to an authorized dealer to resolve the issue. Thanks for your feedback

I concur. I believe Amazon even offers a new product return policy too.
