Pick guards sometimes warp. Buy a new one.

Not uncommon on a tortoiseshell guard for this to happen. that is why a 60's Jazz Bass for example, has so many pickguard screw holes. It is acually the top layer of your 4 ply pickguard that is warping.

I wish I would have seen this sooner. If its just a slight warp, it can absolutely be fixed. If there's major warping in multiple spots, you can get most of it out, but it's very hard to get it back to being straight

I have 2- flat cutting boards that are bigger than the pickguard. I opt for the corian, but I've done it just with my laminate countertop and a book as well.

My stove has electric burners. I turn One on med-high, and wait for it to heat up. Hover the pickguard (bottom side) over it just for a bit. You can feel it get warm (not hot!). Then I quickly put it in between the 2-cutting boards and put pressure on it for about 10-seconds, then put it in the fridge for about 30-seconds to cool it while its flat. Done. Warping is gone.

Kids, don't do it without an adult around to watch over things. It does require concentration while hovering it over a burner.
