My question is...are there any modifications that must be made to the body of the Tele for clearance? Do these pups fit right in the cavity without issue? Also ordered a 4 way pre-wired switch plate from Acme Guitar Works. Anyone have experience with their products?

If you're talking about Texas Special single coils then they should slot right in.

FYI: With the 4 way, you will have to disconnect the ground wire which goes from the neck pickup's cover to the negative lead of the neck pickup. You will then have to run a new, independent ground wire from the cover to the back of the volume pot.

TS pups have a yellow wire that grounds the bridge pickup cover. Do i need an additional ground to the cavity on a 4way switch?

Thanks to all for your help. I'll keep you posted as to how the work turns out. This will be my first endeavor when it comes to electronics.
