Nice guitar !!!!

The chrome knurled knobs would look just fine, and the pots are splined shaft, I know that there are different pitch splines, so it would be best to take the guitar with you when looking for the knobs.

My condolences over the loss of your son.

Given that the guitar is a more vintage than modern style, any of the early type of knurled knobs will work, along with a black "barrel" type switch tip.
Only thing to watch out for is whether...as has already been noted... the pot shafts and switch blade are slightly different in dimentions to American sizes.

The serial number tells that the guitar was made for Fender Japan at the Fuji-Gen plant in '86-'87.

Agreed.

Thank you everyone I was able to find just what I needed at Stewart MacDonald the Pots I have are metric shaft 6mm I place the order and expect it will work out just fine. I have sold off most of my Yamaha RC drums just getting to old to play the drums anymore but I'm having a blast working on my Guitar skills.

Playing this Telecaster something my son loved brings me great joy.

Not guitar related however, I just want to say don't do drugs! My son was 19 years old and died of an overdose of heroin. I was young and dumb a long time ago and stated playing clubs when I was 15 years old. I did a lot of dumb things growing up in music industry. Please know that one time can kill you. Think before you act and watch your children closely. Heroin has killed more than 300 people in the greater St Louis area alone in 2012.

Many of them very young and from all walks of life . . . inner city and out in the county all skin colors, rich or poor a sad thing to see.

May God Bless you all.

Mike
