I am looking to build or buy a tele which has the most visceral, vintage bluesy tone I can find. I love electric blues of all kinds as well as bluegrass. I know that I want a chambered body and have decided on swamp ash. I want that darker, more resonant tone. So now it's pickups, neck and fretboard. I guess Warmoth is the place to go, but I would like to hear other opinions.

Definitely Don Mare 2324 pickups.
Or Lindy Fralin's Blues Specials.
Or (etc. etc.)

Fretboard definitely maple.
Or rosewood.
Or (etc. etc.)

From what I see you're a fond of blues Telecaster artists such as Muddy Waters, Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan.

You might want to look at the G & L ASAT Bluesboy. Mine is the chambered body swamp ash with an ebony fretboard and loves to play the blues.

Seems like a good starting point.

The most bluesy tele...

That would depend on the person playing it... If you aint got the blues, you aint got the blues! Or so they say.

Best answer yet...
And it probably isn't a Tele, as the Tele just makes you happy... and then it is the end of your blues.
