Thanks. My fiance (now wife) had that custom made for me almost 40 years ago.

I haven't been on here in a few days. I figured the thread was dead. Haha. Cool rigs everyone. I changed mine up a little yesterday. I'm still using my Vox, but with my '72 Deluxe Reissue Tele, and a MXR '78 Distortion pedal.

I'm using the Z. Wylde OD pedal. Even though I know one is distoration and one is an OD pedal, what are the major differences in sound?

Hmmm. I haven't played one of those Zakk Wylde OD's so I can't say exactly. Generally, I think that distortion pedals have a little more crunch, sustain, and attack (not sure if that's the exact word I'm looking for) when picking. Overdrives produce the same kind of sounds, but they are more subtle. Overdrives work best for me when I'm using them as a boost for the distortion already being created by my amp. I sometimes use an Ibanez Tube Screamer to add a little oomph to my sound with my gigging amp (Peavey 5150, Avatar 4X12).

I've used the OD pedal with my Big Muff Pi to cut out some of the Big Muff's harseness.

There's a dedicated space in my basement for practice & to jam . Four Telecasters , one strat , a blacktop Jazz bass , a good selection of amps and my Gretsch renown 57 drum kit.

Most often for daily practice: American Standard Tele into Apogee Jam plugged into iPad 1 running Amplitube with Fender suite plug-in. When I can make more noise: plugged into a Vox VR30 with Blues Screamer, CryBaby and JamMan looper.
