Hi, first time poster and Fender fan looking for some help.

I own a 'White' telecaster that has a finish that I am unable to find a full description of.
The product dating with the serial number states that it is an American/Corona Plant 2001 - 2002 manufacture.

The guitar is best described as having a white translucentish finish/lacquer where you can see the wood grain underneath. The scratch-plate is also white.
I would like to know a few more details regarding the materials, woods, finish etc. My searches in google using white, translucent, olympic white, grain etc have so far proved fruitless! Image searches produce many white teles but without the distinctive translucent grain effect.

Has anyone got one, seen one?

Many thanks for your assistance and expertise in advance and apologies for my ignorance.

Could it be "White Blonde?"

I have a 2000 American Standard bought new in Transparent White with a white pickguard just as you described. Salesman said it was transparent white. You can see the grain through the finish. Salesman also said (later confirmed by Fender) that all the transparent white ones have ash bodys. I love mine. Great guitar.

White Blond or Blonde is a great color, IMO.

I *think* it's very close to what Fender used to describe as "Cream."
