I think I'll keep it!

Finally got my hands on a 60th Anniversary '75 Telecaster at a great price!

Vey nice, not really a fan of the inlays though.

Nice - do those have a back contour as well or just the top contour?

I thought these were really cool; Fender did hit the mark with this being a "mash-up" between a Tele Custom and a Jazz Bass from the mid-70s.

That's a beauty and I DO like the inlays - those little round dots can get pretty boring after decades of looking at them. The black of the inlays is complimented by the pickguard. Classy, I say.

Fret markers like yours are part of the reason I bought this closet classic 70s vintage Harmony.

Just a top contour.

It's still 22 years away, the 60th anniversary of the 1975 Telecaster ....

Congrats!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Very nice guitar, but why is the first fret marked with an inlay?
Do you sometimes forget which fret is the first one, or need to check?

Haha

Also is the neck pickup on the original tele up there considered a humbucker or single coil? I'm a guitar nub.

Also, what is that type of bridge called (on the tele).

Thanks

Nick

thats a fender wide range humbucker and a vintage style 3 saddle bridge.

a humbucker is pretty much just 2 single coil pickups stuck together, so a humbucker is usually twice as wide as a single coil.

Awesome, gotcha --

The reason I asked is because I only saw 6 magnets, staggered -- are there 6 other hidden ones underneath?

Congrats that is a beauty. I'd love the combination of the bucker in the neck with the single coil in the bridge postition too.

Thanks guys! I'm currently mulling over whether to send that neck HB to Telenator to have it modded. It's currently a very "wooly" sounding pickup. Like there's a blanket over it.

This is pretty common , especially if there are more dominating inlays than dots . I guess just to make it a more balanced appearance - it makes a nice pattern . As you can see , both these guitars pictured here have it
