Hi All,

I am new to the forum and thinking about purchasing this guitar.
Is it a real Fender American Telecaster?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm no expert at all. Just going by the serial number on the headstock, it is an American guitar.

"Guitar Info
Your guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 2004 - 2005"

Above info obtained from http://guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx

Looks okay to me; it's had some cosmetic mods with the gold hardware and the shell pickguard added.

This guitar has also the strap buttons changed.

American Strats from that era came with Schaller straplocks.

Thanks guys. I picked it up today and it plays great. I tried several MIA/MIM Tele's at guitar center recently, and I would be utterly shocked if this one were not MIA. It's super solid and sounds fantastic!

This guitar is a MIA Tele as the "Made in USA" script suggests.

Another cosmetic detail, this Tele has Schaller locking tuners.

From the headstock and body finish, it looks like a pre upgrade Fender Highway 1 Telecaster that has upgraded hardware.
