I have the body of a JA-90 tele, and the tuning machines from it. However, I got each separately and I have to install them myself. They've already had their locator pin holes drilled, I just have a question about the post sizes. Each one is labelled either A, B, or C, and there's two of each. Is there an order to install them? The head already has a string tree, so does it matter? Thanks.

The two with the shortest posts go on the 1st and 2nd strings.
The two with the longest posts go on the 5th and 6th strings.
That leaves the middle length posts for the middle (3rd & 4th) strings.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
