Hi. I'm from Sweden and I am new to this nice forum!

I have a friend who build guitars. I have ordered a Fender Telecaster from him but my issue is that I don't know what kind of Pickups I should put in it.
I want it to sound Metal!
I've looked at EMG 81 and a couple of Seymour Duncan pickups but I dont know what pickups may be best for just my guitar.

The body is made of Fir tree and the neck of Maple tree.

Is Fir tree sounding very bright?

If it's going to be for metal and metal alone, you can't really beat a set of EMGs. High output, super quiet and exactly the right tone for the job. They really are the sound of metal.

I keep an EMG 81 loaded Ibanez Sabre around for those occasions when I get called to rock out excessively - does the trick every time. Can't stand actives for other styles, but they kick out the metal like nothing else.

Wood type isn't going to make very much difference at all - even more so if you're going to thrash things up.

A humbucker in the bridge or neck - or both, and the right pedals will probably make it easier to get it fat and dirty. The rest is in your hands. If you having a guitar built to spec, you should really have a clear idea of what you need and want first, rather than go off forum opinions.

But - Phil X doesn't have any problems playing Van Halen with an old Esquire and one single coil on the bridge...

If you're a fond of dive bombs, put a floyd rose trem.

A word of advice, if you build a metal Tele be sure to wear rubber sole shoes if playing on a damp floor.

Well if your looking for a good jumping off point for a "metal" tele I would look at Jim Root. he uses EMG 81 Bridge and EMG 60 Neck. I've not used these myself but I'm a fan of Metal and these are used by a lot of great guitarists.

Here is Jim Root's signature Fender http://www.fender.com/guitars/telecaste ... elecaster/

Maybe keep an eye out for a used Blacktop Tele? I was thinking about getting one, and then installing a set of Railhammer pickups. -I'm not really a fan of actives. I still may put a set of them in one of my other guitars. Even stock, I think the Blacktops are really cool for metal.

Here's a demo vid of one of their more metal sounding pups...
