Was able to snag a new, untouched 60th Anniversary Blackguard Blonde at a great price from an authorized dealer. She's stunning to view and based on what my eyes are telling me, it's a single-piece body to boot.

Hope others who own this model are enjoying them!

Just because a Telecaster has a black pickguard does not make it a Blackguard Telecaster.

Paid the same as you! The neck isn't bothersome to me. I've got other guitars finished in some flavor of lacquer. They just get more and more playable over time.

I didn't label it the "60th Anniversary Telecaster in Blackguard Blonde", FMIC did.

A 2011 AM Standard is not the same as the 60th anniversary Tele.

Why is it NOT a 60th anniversary Tele?
On the back of the Telecaster its says 60th anniversary on the plate.
Yes all 2011 Telecasters have that 60th anniversary plate.
But since its a Special 60th anniversary Telecaster that's why its only in Blond.......JT

The Fender Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Telecaster model number 011-6112-768 was essentially an American Standard Telecaster at heart.

Some early descriptions said they would have American Vintage style pickups in them but then they arrived with I believe American Standard pickups with a no load tone control.

They were produced throughout 2011 as part of the anniversry celebrations. If in doubt send the serial number off to consumerrelations@fender.com and they will forward you the correct spec.

Here's the spec i found on the net to keep you going:

Yup, they are essentially an American Standard with a final coat of lacquer on both the body and neck with a commemorative neck plate to boot.

It was limited in that it was only produced in 2011. After the end of 2011 production of that model with those specs and that finish was discontinued.

I guess I can say the same thing with my 2012 American standard Strat in Charcoal.
Fender does not make charcoal anymore for their 2013s
But I think the Blond telecater is a lot more limited since it was a few hundred
more at list price..............JT

Fender never released exactly how many limited edition 69th anniversary tele's would be made just that it would be produced in 2011 only.

On a side note FSR guitars are typically limited to 250 pieces some do get more and some get less. Many posts suggest that a company can ask Fender to make an FSR model for them if they order 250 pieces, some newer posts suggest this is now down to 150 pieces.
