I never knew he palyed a tele. i thought he just stuck with playing Gibsons EDS-1275, but when i think of his songs, some of the guitar does sound like a telecaster. What are some songs that he does use the telecaster on? :shock:

well he is mostly known for playing Les Pauls not EDS-1275

and for songs where he is playing a tele just look in this thread for some songs....

The solo at the end of "Heartbreaker", but who knows he could have used an old Danolectro for that... The solo in "Stairway to Heaven" is awesome and Jimmy has stated in many interviews that he used a Tele through an old Supro on that.

So... Stairway!

Well, I know for sure he played all of Zeppelin I with a telecaster. There should be a few others, too.

point is that this thread has nothing to with whether you like him or not. So you posted a comment saying you're not a fan....which seems pointless unless you're trying to get someone to argue back. If thats not your intention than the comment was basically ignorant and out of place. Its like going to someone's funeral where people are recalling the good times they had with the deceased and saying..."Yea he was a jackass". Just a little odd that you'd say that then be astonished when someone commented on it.
