Nice mixture of old and new. The 22 medium jumbo frets, 9,5" radius and "Elite" tuners are just few of the modern features.

Great looking guitar. I remember lusting over one about 35 years ago in a bicycle / second hand shop priced at around $600.00 dollars in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

A little late posting......definitely one of the most beautiful Fender creations ever. I know how you must feel. While I couldn't afford a '68 / '69 I managed to buy a '93 / 94 Fuji-Gen reissue a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I look at it more than I play it. Congrats and good luck! I'd die for an original!

The Floral Teles came only with a maple fingerboard, never saw the existence of a rosewood-neck Pink Paisley - ditto for the Blue Flower. Can you explain this?

Yes, some of the JV Series (Made in Japan) Pink Paisleys DID come with a RW fretboard, indeed mine is one and I also know of another in the UK, whose serial number is only 5 digits away from mine. Certainly they are very rare as maple was normal. 8)

There is also a RW boarded 1968 Pink Paisley elsewhere in Australia, but there is still some discussion about whether it was a special order or not. Most think not, but nevertheless it's a 1968 neck... so someone went to a lot of trouble to change it over, if it's not original.

Never say never with regard to Fender Teles. You may find something you don't think exists!

Then I suppose the Flower Power Stratocasters and Precision Basses also came with a RW neck - am I wrong?

Again, it's probably a case of finding one, rather than making a blanket statement that they did or did not exist. I've never seen a RW fretboard on a Blue Flower Fender guitar, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Until recently, I was just as sceptical about RW boarded Pink Paisleys.

Rosewood fretboards and neck humbuckers are few of the numerous twists which were done on floral Fenders throughout the last decades.

Oh, they also did pink paisley Strats with rosewood boards too! :P
