Hi
I've seen some vintage telecaster with that bridge cover and I really like how it looks.

Is it possible to install one on an Modern 6 saddle bridge?
Should I have to change the bridge to a vintage one?

Thanks!

If you do decide to change it, check to make sure the bridge plates match up as far as screw and string holes. Most modern bridges have 3 screw holes behind the string holes whereas the vintage plate has 4 screw holes in front of the string hole. if you're dead set on changing, that will require some wood work.

I'll never understand why someone doesn't come up with an ashtray that will fit on a modern bridge. I love that look too.

I realize that the bridge doesn't have the side lips to snap the tray around, but there has to be a simple way, maybe spring tension or something, that will hold it to a modern bridge.

Heck, why not even two screws that hold it to the bridge plate? You would only have to remove it to change strings anyway.
