I picked her right up from work (I work at UPS) and brought her home right away instead of waiting all day :) She is very light so it will take some getting used to. It sounds so amazing I really don't know why there is any hate on these guitars! Here she is :D

That looks fantastic, I'd go for one of them myself, but I'd be torn between the honey burst and the vintage white model. W

I have the Lamboo telebration and it has American Standard Tele pickups in it which sound superb through my big amp. Which pickups are in the Emperess?

The empress uses Hot Tele Single-Coil Pickup with Alnico 3 Magnets in both the neck and bride :) Apparently some people say it's an over priced Highway 1 since it uses the same pups ,but apparently someone had a guy at a guitar store call to confirm about the pickups. And he said this: "The guy from the music store called me and told me he phoned with Fender and they told him that the pickups are special made Alnico III pups for the Empress Tele and that these are not the standard Highway One pups."

That is found here:http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster-discussion-forum/323283-empress-telecaster.html

Personally I tried a 2012 American Standard Telecaster I almost also got for $900 with tax already included ,but I didn't take it. The sound didn't grab me like my 2007 American Standard Telecaster. So I passed up on it and got the Empress and WOW so much spank and Tele love coming from this baby :D

Just because two pickups have the same magnets that does not make it the same pickup. The CS Nocaster set also uses A3 magnets. Those sure as heck are not the same as Highway 1 pickups!
