I've seen pictures and discussions of this model here before , but this is the first time I see/hear it perform . Really droolworthy. Good review, as well - so I thought it was worth a share :D

Seems to sound real nasally sound to it, to my ears anyway. But it's sweet looking!

I hear you , but I don't find it to sound nasal - au contraire- I think it sounds quite open ! But then again- this is a vid , perhaps not the easiest media to judge the sound from !

I saw this Tele on Fender Japan's website:

Though the MIM FSR Super Deluxe Thinline Tele sports a basswood body and pair of Fidelitron humbucking pickups, the TN72G-FT/MH features a mahogany body and Filtertron humbuckers.

Thanks - I did not know they were produced both in Japan and Mexico . The vid shows the MIJ

All respect on Deluxe Tele but in some case I don't like the sound of Deluxe models. It's a royal instrument with very specific sound (non-telecaster like!) that is perfect for, for example, Eric Clapton, or B.B. King - the Man with the Name.
I like American Standard series because they all have Fender like spirit inside with a vintage, modern or custom taste :D
That's my opinion :)
Thanks!
