Hi!
I am lefthanded and want to buy a Lefty Telecaster with Rosewood Fretboard someday.
But Fender does not offer any Lefty Tele with Rosewood Board ... !
Except the American Vintage 64 für ~ 2.100,-€ .. ;-)
But that is way too expensive for me.
Did Fender sell Rosewood Tellies for Lefthanders in the last Decade or do i have to
let my dream go away?
Thank you

You can keep dreaming! I just looked in some of my Fender Frontline brochures and there were lefty Teles with rosewood in the American Series in 2004 and 2005. Now, how many are out there for sale is another matter! I checked eBay just now and the lefty Teles were all maple boards except for two - one American Vintage and the other Custom Shop. But they ARE out there someplace. Happy hunting! :mrgreen:

Thank you!
I guess i will keep an eye on the market and hopefully have enough money to buy one at a time.

if i was left handed and this was how difficult it was for me to get a RW board, id buy a LH guitar with a maple baord, sell the neck and buy a right handed RW neck, and slap it on my guitar. not only will you have the awesome upside down headstock look, but also a genuine reason to have it, rather than just because "it looks cool".

No thank you.
I want to buy a guitar that is good the way it was made for.
No customize or anything, just want to buy a guitar that rocks.

How do you get Frontline? Can it be ordered or something?

When they were still being printed, you could pick them up in Fender dealers. Now they have that new magazine that came out this year, but I don't know if that is a yearly thing or just occasional.

It's a yearly thing, but they never have them whenever I go looking. I remember when Frontline used to actaully be a magazine (kind of like the website is now).

The best solution is to find a used rosewood-neck southpaw 2004/05 American Series Telecaster on eBay.

Fender Japan makes the 62RI in lefty. It has a rosewood board and body binding. Excellent guitars. Now finding one may be difficult but not impossible.
