Well, I call him "king", but "god" works just as good.

Try checking out Brent Mason. Super versatile as well as a country pickin' master.

Rick Parfitt of Status Quo is the best rythm guitarist, using a Telecaster, that i have ever heard. He is truely a God. Can hold and play a solid groove for an hour withou the tempo changing even slighlty!

He's been playing the exact same Telecaster since the 1950s; no change in hardware or pickups: LEGEND!

As far as I know Mason only has two cds out and the oldest one from about '94 is hard to find on line and sells for $60 to $100+ a copy. I ordered a used one for about $65. Luckily it was in perfect shape. His own music is heavy on jazz with some blues and hot licks country.

You can get his newest one from his website. But beyond that, you can hear him on cds from George Jones to Allan Jackson to Trisha Yearwood. Nearly everybody has hired the guy in the studios of Nashville for the past 15 years or so.
