yea I know this is subjective. That's what this is all about. I want peoples opinion. Why do you think your telecaster is the best. Is it the tuners, pickups, neck, body, color, finish,...what? Do you see where I'm going? C'mon people let me know why your tele is the best.

that is a very subjective question, but based on rave reviews from another forum, the made in mexico Baja Telecaster from the Classic Series, however designed by Fender's custom shop in the USA, appears to feel and sound very good. After trying a american series telecaster (and not being impressed), I'm on a quest for something else, good quality, and below $1,000. The Texas Telecaster from the Highway One series would be another option - that one is made in the US - but no frills which brings the price down $200 street when compared to the american standard series.

This is right on information:

I just play a new MIM Standard, but I know the above to be true.

The best non-Fender Telecasters are the Squier Telecasters, because technically those are the only other guitars out there that are actually Telecasters since Fender and Squier are the only companies that cau use that name. All the others are T- or Tele-style guitars....I'm just speaking technically by the definition and ownership rights over the word Telecaster...

For the 400th time what guitar sound and plays best is up to you.
If you like a "Norma" (my first electric) or a Tesco with pickups you can sing through that's fine. If you got to have one of those Custom shop Gibsons that goes for $12,000.00 that's your bag too; although most here would scoff at that notion.
There is a point of diminshing return on all that we buy or value; if the tone and feel is right for you and it's affordable go for it.
Disclaimer: No one here is going to support the purchase decision on anything that takes food, clothing and/or  shelter away from those you are resonsible for.
