I removed my bridge plate and found a piece of cardboard under in in a small printed indent underneath of it. What is this little slip of cardboard?

Sure :) The first photo is the indent for the cardboard piece without it in.

This photo is with the cardboard piece inside the indent.

Never seen anything like that before. Sorry. I would just put the bridge plate back on and not worry about it.

I'd be curious to see how the intonation compared to using the strip vs without using it - nah, just put it back as it was.

Yeah I put it back I didn't want it to possibly mess with the intonation. I also want a spot on the back to get painted. I may even get a metal decal that makes it "mine" ;3

Sure is :) But I didn't put the chip there through play or anything of the sort. it just appeared probably a painting mistake by Fender as it was a random bubble that chipped away (about the size of 2 quarters. So I want it fixed though if I put my own marks in it I keep em :D It's the only thing I want touched on it.
