Well pictures would help :) And you could also email the serial number to fender asking for the info on your guitar :D

The serial number MX11(+6 digits) should be correct, see here:
ProductDatingMex

BTW, a serial number alone is no guarantee... but I think you can stay calm. Think about it: why would someone fake a MexTele..?
[This is not meant as criticism to those guitars; they're fine instruments and very priceworthy. I only mean that there is a lot more money involved with fake JV Squiers or Fender's US collector guitars.]

Thanks all for your input! I must say that I purchase a USA countryman Tele a few weeks ago, and the first thing I did was to ajust the neck only to find that the truss rod had been snapped down the neck and I promptly returned the guitar! Also the body was super light and had neck drop, so I was more than happy to find this Mex 60th Anniversary tele with a well balanced body neck ratio! The finish is good and plays great! I do own a Fernandez Tele Revival series made in Japan but has no patch on the Mex. Tele! My other guitars, 61 Strat and a Hank Marvin re-issue and that is all I need!
