Worked today to get open strings to match themselves at the 12th fret. Played with adjusting the saddles, including string heights after adjusting string length for sharps/flats. G string is problematic. I get it to match pretty good (open and 12th fret). But it's way sharp near the nut and gets progressively better moving up the neck, fret by fret. So by the 12th fret it's pretty well in tune with itself.

Brings to mind some further things to check:
A high nut and/or
excessive neck relief and/or
"heavy touch" pressing the string
may also be what causes that sharpness increasing towards the nut.

You said you're a newbie, so to learn the guitar set-up, measure the nut heigth and neck relief yourself. You can leave the (possible) fixes to a pro if you feel uncomfortable, but at least you know your instrument better (& gradually learn to know what to ask the luthier to do).

And, like said above, guitars aren't in perfect tune on each fret. Sometimes these modern polytuners make you fix things that aren't broken...

Fender should consider putting together an optional, basic set-up pack that contains all of the tools and instructions needed to check the nut, the neck bow, and the string height along with an online video with purchase that clearly explains what to do, what not to do, and how the process effects the warranty.

This way, the customer can communicate intelligibly with a guitar tech about the guitar and their needs, or progress to buying tools to make fine adjustments.

Not everybody can afford to run out and pay a tech or luthier to do the job these days, many people don't want to, and this will save everybody a lot of time and frustration plus build an army of knowledgeable players who spend more time playing and less time fussing.
