I am fortunate to own a '66 Telecaster Custom but never thought I would own a guitar from the '50's. Given the prices of Fender guitars from the 1950's, I always thought a '50's guitar would be way out of reach. But with the state of the economy, the fact that it is a refin and it is an Esquire, the price was very, very reasonable. And since I am a sucker for white guards, I couldn't resist making a deal.

Well this 1957 Esquire arrived. '57 was a good year for me.

It is a refin but all original parts, including frets. Light as heck and terrific tone.

I think I might be done...

Gee Csapo, evidently '57 was a good year for you! :D

Beautiful guitar and remarkably very little wear on the fingerboard; now you get to do it yourself!

Congrats!

Wow! Nice! looks very clean....too clean.... For a vintage guitar like that, was it appraised and certified that it is infact a 57'? Excuse my ignorance regarding purchasing vintage gear.

It's a refin...refinished.

Thanks all for the kind words. I spent an hour with it last night and didn't want to put it down. Loving this guitar...

That one rates a "Holy Schmokes X 2" on the T2 Scale :!: So what is the neck shape like? Is it "V" shaped like a 57 Strat?

T2
