I got this in a CL trade today. It's a '94 Standard MIM Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue. Condition is really nice for being 16 years old. It's all original/stock. The gent I got it from bought it in 1996 at a music store in Phoenix, Arizona and he said it was brand new at the time. The pickups are AlNiCo and it's a toploader bridge. All the chrome parts were covered in years of gunk so I cleaned that and wiped the whole guitar down w/ a cloth, tightened all the screws and put new strings on. It sounds great. Not super twangy though. The stock tuners hold tuning really well and there is no scratchiness in the controls after 16 years. It's a nice guitar. It took 3 months of posting ads every other day to find someone who wanted to trade their Fender Tele for my Dean jazz hollowbody and Vox Pathfinder.

It looks almost Surf Green in this picture. The cool thing about Lake Placid Blue is that it changes color depending on how much light is hitting it. Candy Apple Red is the same way.

Ah! Top loader with the 6-barrel saddles! I used to have one of those '94 Teles! They changed to the cast saddles and string thru bridge similar to the American Standard (of that era) in either '95 or '96. The body on yours is most likely poplar.
