I can't figure out how to post a picture, hopefully the link to the pic will work. Yes, it works!

In case you haven't seen one yet, they come HSS, with two Tele neck-style pickups in the middle and neck positions. Not a bad setup, but I just had to try something else.

I changed the bridge and middle pickups from stock to a Gibson 490T and Fender Am. Std. Strat middle RWRP. Changed the Alpha 500K pots & import 5-way switch to CTS 500K pots and CRL 5-way. Of course I had to get an aftermarket "Nashville" tele pickguard for the Strat pup to fit, and I also changed the Strat cover from black to aged white. Oh, I also got a Fender reissue control plate to fit the new CTS pots (original would have to be driled out - the Alpha pots are smaller diameter where they mount on the plate).

Sounds killer. The Strat pup really adds some quack and sounds very country. Sounds great alone or blended with either pup, but especially the 490T.

But that said, let me say the stock humbucker that came in the guitar sounded really good. I probably should have left it in there, but I had the Gibson, so you know, had to give it a try. And I wanted the Strat middle just to try it. Love it.

Had trouble about posting pictures?

Truly a Blacktop/Modern Player Hybrid! The Modern Player Tele Plus uses pretty the same pickup configuration, except the controls are not reversed and the neck is made from a single piece of maple with black dots and a standard 25.5"-scale.

That's a nice looking Tele. Looks like Fender moved the humbucker forward about 3/8 inch on the baritone. Probably due to scale length.

Thanks for posting my pic.

Surely the bridge is further back to accommodate the longer scale and the humbucker is in the usual place. Saves them changing the routing dimensions. At a guess I'd say the baritone and blacktop use the same body.

I don't think so. I believe the bridge is in the same place as a standard Tele. They left the bridge in the same place and then built a baritone neck to fit the dimensions. IOW, I could put a standard Tele neck on and it, adjust the saddles and it would play in tune. Or, put the baritone neck on a standard Tele body.

I also ordered a Twisted Tele neck pup. Gotta try it in this guitar.
