I'm trying to find the specifics of the Telecaster that I foolishly sold to buy a Thinline '72 Reissue. I love the Thinline but have always had regrets.

Anyway, I bought it new in 1999-2000, so it was made sometime between 1998-2000, I'm thinking. It was:

American made
Standard
Olympic White with white pickguard
Rosewood fingerboard

If anybody can tell me the year it was made and if it was part of some series, like Fender likes to do, I'd truly appreciate it.

Thanks!

this is just going to make you even more depressed..
you know that don't you

anyway,, if your recollection was that it was a "Standard" then my guess, is it's just that, A US made Standard Telecaster.

Did you record the serial # - that would help.

by the way, I have a '98 standard, Ash body w/maple neck, natural finish. My fourth telecaster, -- I finally realized,, I had to stop offing them to only be looking for another... So I plan to go to my grave with this one.

Right, I figured on the "standard" part. I guess why I'm looking the year is so that I can try to find one on the Googlescape and with all the versions, series, models, etc., it's pretty tough to wade through all the models getting kicked out.

But in looking around, there aren't that many that tick all the boxes I'm talking about: American made, white on white, rosewood, '98-'00. I don't understand why Fender Co. doesn't have an index where one can see last year's (or '99s) model. The year should be findable...

Anyway, thanks for the reply and I'm glad you've learned to not part with your stuff (I've just recently been settled enough and figured that out. Man, I let go of more than I care to remember: Fender Bandmaster and Bassman amps, Fender Musicmaster and the abovementioned Telecaster, Gibson SG and Les Paul, Korg MS-10, etc.). Oy!
