Welcome to the forum John, what style of music do you play with that tele? I use mine mainly for blues.

Welcome aboard John. Congrats on the new guitar, but be careful one Tele is usually followed by another, and another etc. :D

As others have said post some pics when you can.

There is a thread here that you may be interested in looking at titled Lets Take A Look At Your Tele with about 65 pages of photos of Teles that belong to forum members.

I am trying to upload a picture of my setup. I have the American Std. Tele. 3 color sunburst, maple neck, with a Mustang III. I have switched the strings to Ernie Ball Super Slinky .08's, (which feel too thin). Right now I am relearning (I haven't played in almost 10 years, wife wouldn't let me, she dumped me I got a Telecaster. I think I ungraded, lol. Right now, I am playing Stones, AC/DC, Rockabilly, and Country. The Amp, and Guitar are so versatile, I cannot stop experimenting.

You might want to start a photobucket account. (They are free!) After that you can load your photos on it, then you copy them and paste them on here with your post. I hope that helps some! If you have any other questions don't be shy, there are some nice folks on here that will help you out if you get stuck.

To post a photo on this forum your image (photo), needs to be accessible on the internet at a location that is know to you for example this location of one of my photos:

http://static.panoramio.com/photos/1920x1280/57042974.jpg

It's probably a good idea to have this forum and your new message open in one browser window and locate your image in another browser window or tab.

When you find your image copy the location from the address line in your browser (mark the text and select it for copying).

In your tab or window where your new forum message is being composed click on the "Img" box above the message and in the message body you will see two [Img] tags, paste your image location/URL between those two tags.

When you Preview or Submit your new message your image should appear.

I'll post an image below using the link that I've included above, and the code in your message should look like this below but using a link to your own image of course:

Code:
[img]http://static.panoramio.com/photos/1920x1280/57042974.jpg[/img]

Good luck.
