Hi !
Anyone who's got any experience with these ? I've been gasing for those earlier- lost one in a bidding round. Now there might be an opportunity again .
1.Are they any good players ? I would guess YES - despite it's a MIM
2.Value on second hand market? ( This one is priced about same as a new Classic Series Tele)

....seems like it will take me a long time to get a US tele :( ....got MIM & MIJ :)

Thanks for any input :D

My friend...
As luck would have it, I have a Nashville power tele, but it's the deluxe model with the piezo pups in addition to the 3 single coil pups. I've had it for a little over a year now and I love it :D . It's a 2004 model and I got it second hand for $500 cdn which is about $350 less than new as best I can tell. I bought it at Long and McQuade which is Canada's answer (and possibly a better one from the griping I read about GC) to Guitar Center in the States. I don't know how these numbers translate to the Norwegian economy :(
It's very versatile with the strat 5 way switch...dire straits tones to strat to tele. The frets are very nicely finished on mine as well. It plays like a dream and stays in tune even after big bends.
A great guitar...I recommend it. 8)
So how are things in Norway? Our hot summer in Canada (Ontario subsection) is still continuing, though we have had just enough rain to keep the trees alive.
cheers,
Alex

Hello , Alex !
I appreciate your response and recommendation ! That is exactly the same guitar - with the Fishman in it .
The Norwegian economy.... I think we are doing pretty well , compared to many others. That meaning- I think the average salaries are higher here - but then we also have to pay more for our stuff..... the one tele I am looking at , will cost about 1000$ And it is difficult to find in the shops- I think I have seen them new for nearly twice that !
The summer here has not been the best- But right now it is near the best level , so we are having a quite good time now . Not so much fruit this year - as the fruit trees were blooming way to early - the bees hadn't woken up after the winter at that time :(
But- I have got several apples , so I don't complain :D But we have had enough rain ! Hope you get some , as well
Thanks for your reply , Alex - I guess I have to place a bid :D Cheers !

Hello Asgeirman,
I think that you are also a thinline tele player, no?
Here's a link to a video of Bird on a Wire with a really lovely tele thinline intro and solo...
enjoy 8)

Hi , Alex ! Yes ,you remember it right - I am definitely a ''hardcore thinline fan'' :D IMO they tend to sound airy and beautiful ,and if needed , they also can crank out some serious dirt 8)
In fact - mine can really inspire for some Hendrix-stuff . And that's not just me , I have let others try them (good players) that seems to feel the same . That seems to surprise them , as they have never considered the thinline as an option. So thank you for the link , great music for my sunday breakfast :D
Yesterday i posted a couple of pics in the ''show us your tele''- thread here , so you can see mine there......
About the Nashville Power Tele - that particular one is still for sale. I tried to get it cheaper - but seems like he will be ''sitting on it'' . I don't really need that acoustic option these days , so I think I will rather buy a new without it - it will be the same price . I am also considering a P-bass, so I have to see what shows up first , and how the personal economy is going - but next month I am going to Oslo (Work/pleasure) - and there are a broader selection available there . My local music shop does not even have 1 p-bass available
Have a nice sunday !

I also have been gassing for a Nashville Tele, well today I saw one on ebay for $399 Buy It Now and $17.83 shipping. Long story short, I bought it. It turns out is is also a 60th anniversary model. I can't wait! Hope you get yours soon also!

Well congrats ! Tell me about it as you receive it , please ? That is the 'pure' Nashville - without the Fishman?
Perhaps I really should do like you - jump into it :D Problem is - I am a bit skeptical to the shipping possibilities to Norway - some ebay-dealers does that , some don't . But I am really considering that , now. Thank you for the input :D

I got the Nashville and the saddles were so corroded that I replaced them with a set from GraphTech. Other than that the guitar was in un-played condition. It is awesome now, and through the BDRI it sounds great. 8)

How is your search going?

Well , congrats on that :-) I guess I could be called GAS - man (various reasons ?) I mean - there's a lot of nice guitars out there , and the Nashville still is one that I want . But since last , i have bought a brand new Precision - bass , a Roger Waters model . I found I needed a solid sounding bass for my home recordings . No intention of being a 'bass-god' , but it really lifted the overall sound , and I am very happy with the choice .
So , I think my budget tells me I have to wait for a while with that tele ! I guess it will be after christmas , if not anything special happens . Anyways , good to hear that you are satisfied ! And the price seemed to be good......hmmm.....would I dare checking the bay....... :|

I totally understand, I purchased an Epiphone Prophecy GX, a Fender Toronado and an Epiphone ES-175 Reissue in the space of 2 weeks recently. I am now banned from ebay until I show some restraint.

Quite a bargain , oh yeah. The only comforting factor here is that i'd preferred a honeyblonde.... :?
