Hi

Thanks for your help. I only got the guitar itself from the shop, no user manual etc., nothing else. The reason I have been suspicious of missing accessories is that most places I see the model listed, they also include a Fender gig bag in the listing. I think it was supposed to come with the guitar. I'll have to call the shop tomorrow and find out what's wrong. Obviously I can't get the truss rod adjusted today, I only have a metric hex wrench set.

You're welcome :D BTW - welcome to the forum- lots of great people with huge knowledge here!
Mine is rather limited compared to many others here :?
And yes- I am sure this model comes with a gig bag . Perhaps you got a special deal/price because of that? Or did they forget- or just trying to fool you ? Best wishes for your arguing and further on -the setup! I'm sure you will be pretty pleased as you succeed Image

Thanks for all your help so far. I've been to the guitar store and they gave me a truss rod key. I didn't inquire more about the gig bag, but I see that I paid a few hundred $ less for the guitar than they advertise for the same model on their web site. It may have been a display model or something. I called it "relatively new" in my first post, but I see on my receipt that I actually bought it September last year, so they may not remember that far back, but I think I have gotten a good deal anyway, and love the guitar.

I have now turned the truss rod about 1/8 turn. There is slightly less buzz, and now a tiny gap between 8th fret and the string when pressing down at 1st and 21st fret, but still less than Fender recommends. I'm a real chicken, so I'll give it a day to settle before I turn it any further..... :)
