I've got a question for those of you with Fender guitars that have HB pick-up's. I have an American Deluxe Tele FMT HH and want to change the pick-up's, however, mine has two adjustment screws on one side and one on the other. All the replacment pick-up's seem to only have one on each side.

Is it possible to change out the Fender pick-up's without doing some sort of modiifications? Anyone been though this?

Your assistance is appreicated.

I posted a similar post a while ago and basically was told that unless you want to bust out the router, there isnt much out there as far as straight up replacements.

This was for the American Deluxe Tele HH? It has full size HB's that are mounted to the plastic ring that goes around the p/u's. The plastic ring is held to the body with a screw in each corner and the screws to each side hold/adjust the p/u's but don't mount to the body.

I was thinking there must be a replacment for the plastic ring that will bolt in place. Unfortunately I didn't notice this when I bought the guitar. If I can't replace the p/u's I'll probably have to put it on the block as the p/u's just dont cut if for me.

If I could figure out how to post a picture maybe someone with more experience could help me out, but I'm still trying to figure this out.

There are mountingrings with just 2 holes for the height adjustment screws. There are curved ones for Les Paul types and flat ones.
Assuming your humbuckers are the normal size, Gibson/Seymour Duncan/
DiMarzio and not the big Fender HB's.

Guilds (pre Fender) and Yamahas had similar setups. I'd keep looking online to look for something that'll fit. Or get another guitar and go from there.
