I played my first gig with my new Blackout Deluxe with the two lipstick and Tele bridge pickup configuration. I truely appreciate the great job in quality control Fender is doing these days.
What a wonderful guitar for the money. Kudos to the Ensenada plant, my other guitar player Steve recently bought an Ensenada made natural Ash & maple neck 70's Strat, nice guitar that played and sounded great out of the box.
I was so impressed with the quality of Steve's Strat that I went ahead and bought one of the Blackout 3 pup Deluxes. I sure am glad I did.
Saturday night The new Tele right out of the box the day before, with the switch on the neck/middle position. I played it through my Seymour Duncan Pickup boost pedal, Boss Rotary pedal and Boss Fender Tube Reverb pedal and through my THD Univalve amp and a single 12" JBL E120 speaker. The dry signal from the rotary pedal went through an Electroharmonix .22Cal and a single 12" speaker.
We call this "Get On The Bus" a very fun instrumental that the Tele and Boss rotary pedal really shines on.
