I use 10's Original 150's. Use them on a 52 Reissue and yes, the new MIM Standard/

"Warm treble": can get that best with these strings even on the MIM...

NOT trying to boost things volume wise or go against the grain of the natural acoustic qualities of my guitars...nor for turing the stock pu's in the MIM into monsters...

It IS in the hands after all...

I just go with Ernie Ball Rock n Rolls, usually 9's. I like the bright tones and after you have em' on for a bit they get a nice dirty sound to them when you start really pushing some bends. It's kind of an old school rock and roll sound.

ernie ball 10's. love them. used to own a couple o crap wee les paul copies, had the audacity to use 8's on the first o them. tho it could take it. it was a very easy guitar to learn on. but, sounded absolutely awful. but the 8's were heaven. but, i dunno if i could ever use them now. i'd bend the string twice round my neck before i'd be done with them. thinkin about maybe havin a wee experiment on some o the ernie hybrids, but, i'm used to my normal slinky's now. on a tele, hard to beat. oh, btw, the 8's were d'addario's, which i think are good for beginners, if only cuz they are colour co-ordinated with their balls. but ernie's for me are the longest lasting, and brightest. i broke a string in practice yesterday for the first time in about a yr, and i think it was cuz i was just wracking the hell out of it tryin to sound louder lol

Very true Binterz ma boy, I rarely break Ernies but D'Adario's go all the time!
Sticky too, never liked them.
