I'm still trying to find & decide what strings to use on my teles, for the sound that I prefer. So far, I've used Fender 250's , 10's and 9's, D/a 9's and Ernie Ball Super Slinky 10's.

I use either DR's or Gibson Vintage (they are vacuum-packed) in 11's. I like the thick tone I get.

On my acoustic, I have Elixir Nanoweb 13's.

My first post!

I use Ernie Ball power slinkys (11's) on my Teles. It helps to give me that fat Fender tone IMO....I supose it depends what sound you're after, but it's 11's for me. I bend like crazy, but you VERY quickly get used to the thicker strings.

I tend to default to D/A 10s but if I want that '50s/60s classic tone I'll put on Tomastik flats.

D'Addario EXL115s which are 11-49. Why? Because the sound good a last awhile. I like the tone of the thick strings, and since I tune down a step, that also helps too...

I tried a set of Dean Markley 2556 Blue Steel Regular Gauge Electric Guitar Strings and wow, what a difference. they really sound great. I was using D'Addario EXL110's and they can't touch the Markley's.

GHS burnished nickel 10's. Warm, thick sounding strings

I have the deluxe nashville telecaster that came with Fender super bullet 9's. For a wule I used Ernie ball super slinky string but it wasn't giving me the sound what i needed. THe sound was too think for blues/rock and the feel of the strings felt too thin as well over a period of time. I switched to 10's and it made the experience much better. I got better sustain from the guitar and a better feel.

I usually use Regular Slinky's on all of my guitars. I like how they feel and they are cheap. I also use DR Pure blues 10s every so often. They are more expensive but last longer and sound great.

Hey guys, Im usually a bass player, but recently I bought a Standard telecaster from my friend and its overdue for a string change, yet I dont play it enough to afford keep replacing the strings, and it goes for extended periods of time (well maybe a week or two) without getting played, whats the longest lasting string you guys know of? Thanks for your help.

I use and prefer Fender 250L..09-42 I like the feel and sound on my fenders with them. But....IMO strings are a personal preference so I won't say that these are the string you should use.
