you could pawn one, work like hell (or collect cans on your days off) and then go get it back?

Maybe the cans are more valuable?

Ok Im in a pickle here. I have two teles. A 52 reissue and a Deluxe. I love both of them, for different reason. I love the 52 for its vintage, vibe, and the butterscotch color. I love the deluxe for its unique color(tungsten) and its comfortable contoured heel and compound radius neck. I may have to get rid of one of them, for financial reason, and I cant decide which one should go. Which would you guys get rid of it yu had to make the painful choice?

I wouldn't sell either. You WILL regret it. I know I've done the same thing and I really miss some guitars I've sold.

If anything I would sell the guitar to a friend you trust and then buy it back from him or her in payment down the road.

So. Selling None. Selling One? Selling Two?
What's to do?

Send one to me and I'll tell you if it's ok to sell....

They're both beautiful guitars. I think they would look good in any venue. Country clubs and neighborhood bars, even in tuxedos and T-shirts. I don't see any problem. The problem is that you perceive a difference in looks and sound. Solution: Bring 'em both to each gig. You'll feel better.

I had a similar situation about 30 years ago. Sold my Ovation Tornado that I bought in '70 to a friend at a good price on the condition that if he wanted to get rid of it he had to offer it to me first at the same price. I bought it back about two years later. It did not come back in the same condition. It left in mint condition, came back with nicks, scratches and missing parts. If you choose this route, try to get enough out it for what it's worth in case in doesn't come back or maybe you don't want it back. Years later I did get the Ovation back in shape and still have it. Being the original owner I called Kaman and they sent me the missing parts free of charge 35 years afterwards. How's that for customer service! Hope it's the same since Fender took over.

So your Ovation drove off the car lot in New Mint conditon.
After a tour around the block it came back with dents, paint faded
and mirrors and bumpers gone. And, you bought her back!!!
This IS true love
